Chromodoris albopunctata
» If you find this species has been misidentified, please let us know

Identification is verified by Richard Willan, Nudi Pixel expert
Comment from Richard Willan: This large nudibranch is recognised by the reddish orange mantle with consecutive bluish mauve, black, and yellow bands at the margin. The mantle’s upper surface has numerous small regularly spaced rounded pustules as well as hundreds of red spots like stippling, each with an opaque white ring (ocellated). The mantle’s under surface and foot sole are uniformly yellow-ochre. It regularly raises and lowers the margin of the mantle with a rippling motion when it is crawling.
Thanks to Gaetan White for suggesting identification for this species
Comment from Gaetan White: This could be Chromodoris albopunctata but its a pity one can't see underneath (normally yellow).
