Comment from Richard Willan: The red colour pigment on this individual is highly unusual for this species which is normally pigmented with pale brown
Editor's comment: As it is claimed as original color by the photographer, Dr. Richard C. Willan said that this is the only red Chelidonura amoena ever known.
