Comment from Richard Willan: This species is endemic to the Mediterranean Sea characterised by the large chocolate blotches on the upper surface of the mantle. It is placed in the genus Discodoris as many times as Peltodoris and no firm decision as to which genus is best has been arrived at so far.
 

Comment from the photographer: This species you can find all over Mediterranean, we already found in the Italian Coast, then in the French coast near Marseilles and also in Corsica. Here you can see a family
