Comment from Richard Willan: A very large adult individual. It has shed (autotomised) most of the cerata which is why you can see more of the back than usual. These cerata are just starting to regrow, and they appear as small brown pointed ‘tentacles’.


 

Comment from the photographer: 29 Dec 2007, Swan River. 13m on a wall of soft and hard corals / sponges. It looks a bit like a Madrella Ferruginosa with a lot more white and not as much cover on its back.
