Comment from Nathalie Yonow: It is the only translucent white gymnodorid in these waters. Gosliner in his book states that it is the only gymnodorid to possess a thick notal margin, and this can be seen in the animal on the left. However, it is very indistinct behind the gills in the animal on the right.
