Comment from Richard Willan: This is a rare species that is hardly ever reported and I have never seen a photo of it previously.

By contrast Doto rosea, which occurs in the western Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea has fewer clusters of cerata and there are opaque white spots marking low pustules on the cerata.
