Comment from Gary McDonald: Distinguished from Doriopsilla albopunctata by the white branchiae which are upright rather than spreading horizontally; also by narrow foot which is much wider in Doriopsilla albopunctata; it also possesses labial tentacles, which are lacking in Doriopsilla albopunctata.
