Comment from the photographer: Kalinga ornata, Bunama Mission, Milne Bay, PNG, Mar. 11, 1998. Length: 65 mm, Depth: 6 meters. I found this beautiful nudibranch on a night dive. It was crawling rapidly in a random pattern, actively hunting small shrimp. When its oral veil came in contact with prey, it stopped, extended its oral tube and sucked up the food. I tried to shoot a pictures with the oral tube extended, but the action was too fast. I watched it for about an hour until it buried itself in the sand.
