Comment from the photographer: Banana Bommie, Milne Bay, PNG, Jan. 8, 2005, scanned from slide film. Terry Gosliner thinks these Risbecia from PNG that have previously been identified as Risbecia godeffroyana are a different species. He calls them Risbecia sp. 1. Gosliner also thinks that Risbecia godeffroyana is a junior synonym for Risbecia Imperialis. Risbecia sp.1 differs externally from R. Imperialis by having more purplish mottling and yellow spots on the notum and red lines on the rhinophores. "Indo-Pacific Nudibranchs and Sea Slugs," p. 271
