Comment from the photographer: Asteronotus hepaticus, White Beach, Sunlight Channel, Russell Islands, Solomon Islands, Nov. 7, 2001, scanned from slide film. I have seen many of these slugs night dives in Milne Bay, PNG and the Solomon Islands. Most of them are too large for a 50 mm lens.
