Unidentified species from South Australia, Australia

Comment from the photographer: Could someone please let me know if this is the South australian endemic species Taringa merria, or the more widespread Hoplodoris nodulosa. The photo was taken by Phil Mercurio at Edithburgh, and the nudi, which measured about 50 to 60mm, was on a brown sponge at 5m deep. One expert here in southern Australia has stated that it is a very dark specimen of H. nodulosa. However, I noticed that the animal in the photo does not closely resemble other examples of that species, in rhinophores, gills, colour, pattern or nodule appearance. Therefore I am seeking help from other experts in dorid nudibranchs, because I am not a taxonomist. Thanks for your help.
Regards, Janine Baker, South Australia
