Hengky has a myriad of interests and occupations, among them he is an avid photographer and naturalist both above and below water and co-founded Kapal Selam Dive Club, a non profit dive club, with Erwin Kodiat. He can also be found expanding Bali’s wireless internet networks with GlobalXtreme and shooting weddings on weekends with Aditi Niranjan Photography.

He first became involved with underwater photography when his wife, Dorothea Nelson, sacrificed her Sony Cybershot to the cause (she hasn’t seen it since!). Hengky enjoys developing both his technical and artistic underwater photography skills, and delights in showing off the results from his pocket camera.

While Hengky’s primary stomping ground is Bali, he has dived throughout Indonesia, with trips to Bunaken, Alor and Lombok.
