Jeffrey Davies

Nationality: British (The Welsh Part)

Residence: 50% Phuket, 50% Worldwide

Jeff first did his OWD in Pattaya in 1986, but after a few holiday dives in Thailand and Australia he stopped diving.

The second time was in Phuket in 1999, and has been (so far) much longer lasting.

He bought his first camera (a Sony DSC-P9) in 2002 but frustrations with lack of any manual control led to the Sony being replaced by an Olympus C-8080 and two external strobes in 2004.

One day he might upgrade to a DSLR, to be followed closely by a wetsuit!

It’s the local dive guides who find the majority of the interesting critters he photographs, and when they ask what he’d like to see the answer is always the same: “Something I’ve never seen before”
