After doing a discover scuba dive in Mexico while on vacation in 1997 Mark was hooked and as soon as he got back to Spokane Washington, he enrolled in a open water course and booked his next trip to Cozumel.
A couple of years later Mark bought my first underwater camera and housing, a Sony 707 in an Ikelite housing. Though he lived in Washington, he was still 300 miles from the coast and all of its cool critters but took trips to warm water and Canada every chance he could as well as many weekends spent diving Puget Sound and Hood Canal.
Always on the lookout for an opportunity to move closer to the water and maybe someplace a little warmer, Mark was thrilled when his company had an opening on the island of Saipan. His friends were all very jealous when he told them that he would be moving to Micronesia. Now at 46 years old, he gets to dive every week and though doesn't take the camera as much as he should, he has a great opportunity to take pictures as often as he like. His wife Tammy is great at finding the small stuff and helps him all the time. You can look at more of his pics at http://www.underexposed.us/scuba-home.html. He is having a great time on Saipan and if you are ever headed this way please contact him and he will take you out to the local sites both above and below the surface.
