As a seasoned high school art and photography teacher, scuba certification in 1994 was soon followed by taking up underwater photography while volunteering on a CEDAM International Conservation Project in Akumal, Mexico. She has been a "brancher" since becoming a diver. She has won numerous photography awards, including Photographer of the Year at the Canadian Underwater Images Competition in 2000. Since that time she has been published in a variety of publications, including Scuba Diving, Sport Diver, Tauchen, Canada's Diver, FiNs Magazine, Caribbean Travel & Life, Ritz-Carleton Magazine, Blue Planet Quarterly and Natural History. She is represented by several stock agencies that market her work world wide. Although much of her diving takes place in the Emerald Sea of British Columbia, Canada, she uses those teacher vacation breaks to dive the far corners of the globe. She currently shoots a Nikon D200 camera in an all Canadian Aquatica housing.
