Both these individuals show a very unusual pattern or regular, round, black spots. Normally the spots are irregular in shape and arrangement on the body.Comment from Richard Willan on photo #2435
An extremely dark individual but identifiable as Aegires gardineri by the black blotches (instead of lines) on the sides of the foot. In this photo the rhinophores are visible – note that they are completely smooth. Amongst dorid nudibranchs, the Aegiridae is almost the only family to have completely smooth rhinophores.Locality:
