Distinguished by its three pairs of processes bearing gills.

This appears to be the form japonica, which is now a synonym of hermanni. Three paired processes on the back and subdivided processes on the rhinophores.

Appears to be variable in colour, here the complicated / divided rhinophore processes are clearly visible and distinguishable from B. stellifer.
