Ceratosoma miamirana
(Bergh, 1875)
Also known as: Ceratosoma miamiranum, Orodoris miamirana, Fracassa tuberculosa

Photographed by: Twila Midgley
Notes from Dr. Richard C. Willan: On the Sea Slug Forum, Bill Rudman has changed the specific names for five species of Ceratosoma in accordance with the Rules prescribed for scientific names by the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature. However he is incorrect in changing the name of this particular one – the specific name miamirana cannot be changed at all (it is a noun in apposition) unlike all the other four (that are adjectives). So this one stays as Ceratosoma miamirana.
