Comment from Richard Willan on photo #8288
Note how the ends of the oral tentacles are enlarged and flattened like paddles. This individual is slightly atypical in having the entire rhinophore coloured orange-red.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #5836
A sexually mature individual. The white spheres in the posterior half of the body are the mature ovotestes containing both male and female generative regions within each sphere.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #5507
The oral tentacles are unusually short in this individual – they could have been lost to a predator or deliberately cast off.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #4297
This individual is atypical in having only a small orange spot on the cerata instead of a full orange ring.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #2220
Note the oral tentacles are enlarged towards the end and flattened like a paddle (easily seen on the right tentacle) and also the orange ring around the cerata.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #1458
A typical individual crawling freely in a natural habitat. Note the enlarged extremities of the oral tentacles like paddles, which are raised and lowered as an animal crawls along.
