This species is characterised by the row of papillae on the oral veil and by the genital aperture being level with the front of the gills (visible in this photo as a pigmentless patch on the side of the body) – this is a most unusual rearward position that is unique in dorid nudibranchs.Comment from Richard Willan on photo #8361

This dorid nudibranch is recognised by the row of papillae on the oral margin, and also by the widely spaced tiny pustules on the body, each capped with a yellow or orange spot. The genital aperture (which is well-shown in this photo) is level with the gills – a most unusual rearward position that is unique for dorids.Locality:
