Though they are similar externally, species of this genus have different numbers of accessory glands associated with the female part of the reproductive system and also different numbers of tiny darts (called stylets) for stimulation of the partner at copulation associated with these glands. Hoplodoris nodulosa is endemic to southern temperate Australia and New Zealand.Locality:
