Hypselodoris bullocki

(Collingwood, 1881)
This species name is also known as Hypselodoris bullockii

According to Richard Willan: Before the first set of international rules were established for naming animals (in 1901) there was no standard way of naming species after people, so some authors used a double ‘ii’ (like botanists still do today) and others used only a single ‘i’ (the standard in Zoology from that date) to denote a man’s name, so for these early names it depends exactly how the name was first spelt. If a double ‘i’ was used (as in bullockii, forskalii and peronii and also in the cowrie shell Cypraea humphreysii), then it must remain like that and it cannot be changed. I know it’s a bit confusing, but these are the rules.
