A juvenile individual. Juveniles like this have no side branches off the dorsal midline (branches in adults) and a simple-ending line between the rhinophores (characteristically T-shaped ending in adults).Comment from Richard Willan on photo #9109

The species of the blue Hypselodoris tricolor species group are not only very difficult to identify but also probably ovesplit taxonomically. Anyway, I identify this individual as Hypselodoris fontandraui because of the pattern of irregular white streaks on the flanks of the mantle. Since the gills are not extended and cannot be seen, gill coloration cannot be used to corroborate this identification.Locality:
