This is Limacia clavigera, which originates from north east Europe! It feeds on encrusting bryozoans but not a particular species, and appears to be frequently recorded from South Africa but not from anywhere else in the Indian Ocean, presumably because of temperature limitations.Comment from Richard Willan on photo #6573
