Mating individuals. This dorid nudibranch is characterised by the dark blue mantle with two yellow stripes running from immediately besides the rhinophores to the level of the gills. There is also a very pale mid-dorsal blue longitudinal stripe and pale blue marginal band.Comment from Richard Willan on photo #1423
A typical individual showing the distinctive colouration. Along with Flabellina iodinea and Hermissenda crassicornis, this is a most characteristic Californian species of nudibranch.Locality:
