This small, flattened sea hare (family Aplysiidae) is characterised by the numerous, firm tubercles scattered all over the body. The largest tubercles ones have a white, branched process with numerous white filaments at the summit resembling a sea anemone, that can be extended out (as in this photo) or contracted back into the papilla.Comment from Richard Willan on photo #854

An unusual small sea hare that is intimately associated with brown algae (Padina sp.). This individual is crawling actively and so its body is unusually stretched out.Locality:
