Comment from Scott Johnson on photo #15660
I have not seen one of these in the flesh before, but it certainly looks like other photos I have seen of Phyllidiella annulata.

A juvenile individual.

This species of phyllidiid is characterised by the pattern of black rings on the mantle. It is commonest in the Marianas Islands, though recorded from throughout the tropical Indian Ocean and central-western Pacific Ocean.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #1334
A typical individual of this species in having the black spots in the centre of the black circles, though the background is usually pink. Though it is apparently known from the Red Sea, tropical Indian Ocean and central-western Pacific, by far the majority of records come from the Marianas Islands.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #1448
An atypical animal with a white background (normally pink) and extra large black circles.
