This could be Phyllidiella granulata. It looks like a specimen I photographed at Pohnpei that I think was that species. Although it also resembles some photos of Phyllidiella hageni.

Another tough one that doesn't really fit any of the known species. It looks kind of like something between Phyllidiella granulata and Phyllidiopsis pipeki. If it were a bit brighter pink, I'd go with Phyllidiopsis pipeki, but I think I'd call this a form of Phyllidiella granulata, even though it doesn't exactly match Brunckhorst's original description. It is similar to Phyllidiella granulata I have seen in Pohnpei; in those specimens, the granular appearance of the gray areas was visible in the actual specimen, but did not show up on my own images captured from video.

This is Phyllidiella granulata, with spiky tubercles on the dorsum, much more grey. It should have no submarginal black, but I can see a bit on its left side below/behind the rhinophore. The rhinophores are very definitely black here, so it isn’t Phyllidiella lizae.

Possibly Phyllidiella granulata, IF granulate can have a black submargin… The spiky tubercles are correct.

Note the completely black rhinophores.

Gives nice detail of the pink/black rhinophores and white grainy dorsum that Dr. Willan notes as typical for the species.

This name is based on the white granules in the skin and short black radial bars, but it is far from a “typical” individual.

Comment from Richard Willan on photo #1920
A typical individual with the pink/black rhinophores, white grainy dorsum, and wavy black longitudinal lines with radial lines coming off them.
