This individual has cast off (autotomised) some of the cerata on the middle section of the right side and they are regrowing. That’s why the are not as long as the others.Comment from Richard Willan on photo #2463
Phyllodesmium crypticum has very nodulose cerata, especially along the edges (unlike Phyllodesmium briareum and Phyllodesmium serratum - both have completely smooth cerata).Locality:
