Thuridilla bayeri is a little variable, but always with stripes. The blue spots on the parapodia appear to be consistent, but the amount of blue on the head and neck is variable.Comment from Richard Willan on photo #2629
In contrast, Thuridilla splendens has a yellow head, grows to a much larger size, and does not “nod” its head as it is crawling along.Locality:

It is easy to separate them externally: the name Thuridilla bayeri covers all individuals with blue spots and Thuridilla gracilis covers all individuals with no blue spots.
