Polychaete worm in the family Polynoidae. That's really interesting. I haven't seen any specimens that have dorsal cirri with these unusual tips.Comment from Leslie Harris on photo #21761
A polychaete in the family Polynoidae.Comment from Leslie Harris on photo #21756
The same polynoid species as in http://www.nudipixel.net/photo/00021813/Comment from Leslie Harris on photo #21759
Another polynoid species, outwardly somewhat similar to Lepidonotus cristatus. This specimen would have to be examined for an accurate id.Comment from Leslie Harris on photo #21746
Appears to just a fragment of an amphinomid polychaete, possibly Eurythoe or another genus.Comment from Leslie Harris on photo #19936
while it might be a scaleworm - which I'm not sure about - it is certainly not Gastrolepidia.Comment from Leslie Harris on photo #21813
Yes, everyone's right - it's a scaleworm in the family Polynoidae. It looks familiar but I'd need the specimen in front of me to figure out what it is.Comment from Leslie Harris on photo #6417
The bristle worm is in family Amphinomidae. I've seen pictures of the same species identified as the genus Chloeia. It might be this genus or it might belong to Notopygos - the picture doesn't show enough of the characters needed to distinguish between the two. Right now I'm in Saipan and hope to collect some of these little beauties so I can finally put a name on them.Locality:
